Fresh Garbanzo Beans

It goes without saying that I get unnaturally excited when I find something new in the produce section. The weirder the item, the more I have to try it.
Garbanzo beans don't qualify as weird , per se, but I have never seen them fresh and still in the pod. Until today.

The pod is loose and large for the beans, the garbanzos are green. They even taste green, but pleasantly so. I couldn't help but wonder, "What do exactly do you do with fresh garbanzos?"

After combing the internet for ideas, my favorite was simply to drizzle them with a good quality olive oil, sprinkle with sea salt, and broil until crisp/tender.
